Colby grew up in Booneville, Mississippi and attended Booneville Public Schools. Colby went on to enroll at Millsaps College where he received a B.S. in Public Management in 2010, and then his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Else School of Management at Millsaps in 2011. After receiving his MBA, Colby obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in 2014 during which time he interned with the Mississippi Attorney General. After graduating law school, he went to work at Langston & Lott in Booneville, MS – a firm founded by his grandfather in 1964 and currently managed by his first cousin, Casey Lott. Colby has handled various cases in both state and federal courts in Mississippi, including personal injury, criminal defense, and corporate matters.
Colby is licensed and practicing in all Mississippi state and federal courts. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar.
